Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Jr.
Reporting: Manufacturing Manager
Functional objectives:
1. Plan, establish, direct and coordinate activities related to safe manufacturing processes in Harting Mexico Manufacturing for Value products related to HCS.
2. Implement continuous improvement programs for better quality and manufacturing methods, in addition to maintaining/raising the audits score.
Is responsible for:
Role 1: New products
- Evaluates and suggests recommendations on the manufacturing quality control processes, types of manufacturing methods to be adopted, list of processes to follow, suggested tools and accessories
- Provides technical support/training for HMM assembly personnel.
- PFMEA Preparation, Work Control and Instruction Plan
- Pre -produces first production or samples
- Responsible for selection of machinery and tools for new production lines
Role 2: Serial production
- Recommends the organization to achieve maximum production and efficiency capacity.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency through the analysis and planning of the workflow, the space requirements and equipment disposal.
- Develops procedures and meets these for control, issuance, storage and file of drawings. online procedures and specifications with ISO 9000 standards.
- Performs products/processes analysis to reduce costs, improve quality and improve efficiency.
- Work in close collaboration with the quality engineer and others to establish the fundamental causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Uses statistical data that, in return, helps the team clearly identify the future manufacturing requirements.
- Represents manufacturing in multifunctional equipment
- Cycle time and balancing of operations line
- Production capacity studies
Role 3: Continuous improvement
- Provide leadership for continuous improvement activities in the plant
- Present automation projects to improve the plant's automation percentage in productive processes

Professional education and knowledge:
- Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics or related engineering.
- 1 to 2 years of work experience in engineering in a related industry (electronics/cable).
Functional, technical and individual competences required.
- Knowledge of electrical connectors and connector assembly.
- Pneumatic, electric, electronic and mechanical knowledge
- SAP management.
- JIT technique formation.
- Advanced English.
- Coretools
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.
- Experience in automotive industry IATF 16949.
