Job Title: Maintenance Leader
Reporting: Maintenance Supervisor
Functional objectives:
1. Ensure that the percentage of scheduled maintenance is met with available resources according to planning.
2. 100% of top offender machinery failures are analyzed with their respective root cause analysis.
3. Manage human resources to maintain MTBF and MTTR levels within the target range.
Is responsible for:
-Constantly supervise operators and maintenance technicians, including the molding technician, ensuring compliance with the weekly maintenance plan and completing the necessary indicators assigned.
-Document improvements made in the maintenance area, assisting with maintenance activities (preventive and corrective maintenance) according to the workload and as authorized by the supervisor.
-Perform adjustments and preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and general electrical tools, if necessary.
-Supervise and ensure the maintenance plan is in accordance with the weekly and/or annual schedule.
-Monitor and supervise daily maintenance orders (provide support if required).
-Support the plant engineering department.
-Comply with the instructions of the area supervisor.
-Complete indicators assigned and document improvements in the area.
-Supervise suppliers and ensure compliance with safety guidelines and standards established by the safety department at the plant.
-Assist the molding technician in activities if required, as directed by the supervisor.
-Supervise and assign activities to maintenance operators, maintenance technicians, and the molding technician.
-Assign preventive and corrective maintenance to maintenance technicians.
-Complete weekly incident logs and allocate overtime.
-Ensure compliance with the weekly maintenance plan.
-Propose preventive and corrective actions.
-Provide technical support when circumstances warrant.
-Evaluate personnel according to the skills matrix.
-Understand the quality policy and quality objectives.
-Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with the documented quality system.
-Recommend and implement improvements to activities and processes within the quality system.
Education and professional knowledge:
-Completed high school diploma or truncated degree in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical engineering.
-At least one year of experience as a leader in the maintenance area.
-Specialized technical level related to mechanical and electrical aspects of plant installations.
Functional, technical and individual competences required:
-Diagnosis of mechanical and electrical faults.
-Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity.
-Knowledge of cutting and welding.
-Knowledge of working at heights.
-Use of lifting platforms.
-Use of forklifts (licensed).
-Knowledge of safety regulations.
-Knowledge of LOTO.
-Preventive and/or corrective maintenance of industrial machinery and facilities.
-Leadership.
-Teamwork.
-Conflict management.
-Analytical and decision-making skills.
-Proficiency in MP software.
It would be a distinct advantage if the Job holder has previous experience in the following areas:
-Proficiency in design systems such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
-Knowledge of SAP.
-Certification for operating lifting platforms and forklifts.
-Knowledge of molding.
