Job Title: Documentation Specialist

 

Functional Objectives:

Create and maintain data within the SAP system, such as raw materials, bills of materials, and routings.
Is responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating product documentation used within HARTING’s customized solutions group. Defining production schedule, executing purchasing activities to ensure timely delivery of required materials/goods to ensure timely delivery of new products.


Main activities:

-Maintain the integrity of part numbers in SAP, updating SAP attributes as needed.
-Create raw materials, bills of materials, routings and perform other associated functions, upload them, and keep them updated within SAP.
-Update information within SAP based on manufacturing feedback and as part of the ECN process.
-Maintain the ECN log and route ECNs to the appropriate departments to ensure the documentation package is complete.
-Review purchase orders to verify the accuracy of the information within the SAP system.
-Maintain revision control of products as they go through the manufacturing process.
-Provide support throughout the New Projects process with SAP documentation and configuration.
-Facilitate the internal document approval process by routing and obtaining required approvals when necessary.
-Assist the Engineering team with document control activities in compliance with the ISO quality system. For quality system audits and inspections, act as the contact for documentation control.

Education and Professional Knowledge:

-Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related.
-Over two years of experience in a similar position; manufacturing industry experience is desirable.
