Job Title: Automation Engineer
Department: Engineering
Reports to: Engineering Manager
 
Role Purpose:Develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions in manufacturing processes within HARTING Mexico Manufacturing. Integrate control technologies, robotics, vision systems, and monitoring systems to optimize processes. Promote continuous improvement and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and programming of PLC, HMI, robotics, and vision systems.
  • Diagnostics and advanced maintenance of automated systems.
  • Management of automation projects.
  • Technical documentation (drawings, diagrams, manuals).
  • Coordination with machinery suppliers.
  • Process flow analysis and improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards.
  • Participation in multifunctional teams.
  • Propose and implement automation projects.

 

Requirements: 
  • Engineering in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related fields.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in industrial automation.
  • PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff).
  • Robotics (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA).
  • Vision systems (Cognex, Keyence).
  • Industrial networks (Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP).
  • Electrical design (EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical).
  • Lean Manufacturing.
  • Intermediate to advanced English.
