Functional Objectives

 

  • Establish and enforce a consistent Angular front-end architecture (with measurable code quality outcomes)
  • Build and govern a reusable UI component library / design system with strong adoption and CI/CD-ready delivery

 

 

Is responsible for:

 

  • Define, further develop and enforce a consistent front-end architecture
  • Architecture and design decisions in close coordination with the backend team
  • Active participation in central front-end components and architecture-critical areas
  • Ensuring code quality, clean code, best practices and sustainable maintainability
  • Building, maintaining and governance of UI component libraries and design systems
  • Collaborate on technical standards in the area of build, test, and deployment (CI/CD) processes in collaboration with DevOps teams
  • Close cooperation with UX/UI designers and product owners for continuous improvement of the user experience
  • Mentoring and coaching of front-end developers as well as promotion of professional development in the team
  • Evaluation of new technologies, frameworks and architectural approaches as well as derivation of strategic recommendations
  • Active participation in technical decision-making processes regarding new technologies, frameworks and architectural approaches
  • Collaboration in the international front-end team

 

 

Education and professional knowledge:

 

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Frontend Engineer, Frontend Architect or Frontend Lead
  • Very good knowledge of modern frontend technologies with a focus on Angular
  • Sound knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and modern frontend architectures
  • Experience in the integration of frontends with CMS systems and eCommerce systems
  • Experience with automated tests in the frontend (e.g. Jest, Cypress, Playwright)
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience working with DevOps and cloud teams (e.g., Azure DevOps)
  • Strong communication skills as well as experience in leading and coaching developers
  • Very good knowledge of English

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Experience with performance optimization and web accessibility (e.g. WCAG)
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, preferably in the Azure environment
