Functional objectives
Preparation, development and maintenance of a long-term profitable and holistic product portfolio which differentiates from the competition by innovations.
Provision of high-performance technical support for the sales units and marketing clusters
Achievement of the worldwide margin and sales targets for the product series.
Task & responsibilities
- Definition of new and innovative products with high economical potential in coordination with the other Product Management Functions
- Competitive analysis to derive the necessary activities to gain market shares.
- Responsible for the preparation and coordination of qualified technical specifications and support of the transfer into specification books in cooperation with the development departments
- Responsible for the commercialization of his products in the local sales companies, monitoring of turnover and margins and if necessary initiation of measurements with controlling, production, IE and development
- Definition of necessary measures for the market launch of new products
- Support of the LS for successfully selling the products in the area of responsibility
- Gaining of deep knowledge of the applications of customers within the HARTING target markets and transfer of this knowledge into the HARTING organisation
- Definition of transfer prices as well as recommended sales prices and controlling regarding margin and price development
- Execution of product trainings with internationally different target groups
- Preparation of customer benefit argumentations based on technical competition solutions
- Representation of the company HARTING in committees and user organizations which are relevant
Education and background:
- Graduation of a study in electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering with technical focus or comparable
- International experience in the area of electrical or electromechanical components used in the respective applications
- At least 3-5 years of experience with products and applications within the electromechanical area
- Professional English spoken and written
- High willingness for worldwide travel activities (up to 40% of working time) with intercultural understanding
- Self-motivation and strong target/goal orientation
- Great coach and people development skills
- Good communication skills
- Solid background and professional skills with product management
- Skills in acting within an international company
- Pragmatic and solution oriented. Attitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Knowledge and experience in intercultural behavior
