Regional Manager

This role reports to the UK and Ireland Sales and Distribution Manager and will develop and grow both existing and new business sales for the complete range of HARTING products and solutions within the South-West region of the UK, from Oxfordshire in the north, to the west of London, the South Coast and into South Wales

The role will involve:

  • Developing contacts at all levels with both Direct and Distribution accounts
  • Liaising with the Customer and the relevant departments within HARTING UK
  • Increasing awareness of our complete Connectivity and Networks capability within the market
  • Providing technical support for Distribution representatives
  • Establishing and agreeing a forecast for the area that is challenging and in line with the opportunities that exist within the area, and as a minimum meets the mid-term growth expectations of the company
  • Ensuring SAP CRM is updated and maintained at all times, including customer contact details and maintaining YEE, potential and competitor share after each visit
  • Following up leads and quotes in a timely manner
  • Implementing and maintaining all contract and purchase agreements for the area.

Candidates must have relevant Sales and Business development experience, in a Connector or related market environment, along with experience in selling solutions, cable assemblies, electrical and electronic box builds. They should also have experience of dealing with OEMs and/or end users at design-in level and an understanding of industrial networks and topologies.

To be successful in this role you must have an excellent level of communication and be able to forge strong relationships at all levels and across different functions. You must have a professional sales technique and be capable of conducting convincing and effective customer visits, consultations and presentations. You must be tenacious and confident and possess the drive and desire to fulfil the customer’s needs. You must also have first class listening skills to be able to identify and acquire customer requirements and you must have the ability to talk with knowledge and conviction to customers and colleagues.
