Job Purpose

The Cloud Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, governance, and optimization of HARTING's Microsoft Azure cloud environment in Mexico. This role ensures the availability, security, and cost-efficiency of cloud services, while actively supporting Azure solution architecture design and contributing to the company's ongoing Cloud Architecture transformation.

Although primarily focused on cloud administration, this role is expected to bridge operational execution with strategic advisory, collaborating closely with the global Infrastructure & Cloud Architect team to ensure alignment with HARTING's enterprise architecture standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer and operate Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and cloud services on a daily basis
  • Supporting general IT infrastructure and cross-coverage across M365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune), contributing to hub resilience and operational continuity
  • Monitor cloud performance, availability, and security using Azure Monitor and Microsoft Defender for Cloud
  • Implement and manage Azure governance policies, compliance controls, and cost management (FinOps)
  • Manage Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID from an operational and identity governance perspective
  • Automate cloud operations and provisioning using IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates)
  • Support domain solution architecture design for Azure workloads when required
  • Advice on Cloud Architecture transformation initiatives and contribute to cloud best practices
  • Collaborate with the global Infrastructure & Cloud Architect to ensure alignment with EA Northstar standards
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes using Azure DevOps
  • Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and cloud configuration records
  • Handle access requests, role assignments, and RBAC policies across cloud environments

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure cloud administration
  • Solid knowledge of Azure core services: Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, and Identity
  • Basic knowledge of M365 Workloads: Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune
  • Experience with IaC tools: Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation: PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals: VNets, NSGs, VPN, DNS, Load Balancers
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps
  • Analytical and solution-oriented working style
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional and international collaboration
  • Spanish (native) and English B2 or above required

Preferred Certifications:

  • AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (required)
  • AZ-305 Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred or willingness to pursue)
  • Experience with FinOps principles and Azure Cost Management
  • Knowledge of Azure Security Center and Microsoft Sentinel
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing IT environments (IIoT, OT/IT convergence)
