We are seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician for our 2nd shift to join our growing Operations department. This person will be responsible for Preventative, Proactive and Predictive Maintenance to Optimize performance and prevent future maintenance issues.
To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on injection molding machines, CNC machining centers, mechanical processing equipment, laser marking systems, and associated machinery
- Reactive Maintenance: Respond promptly to equipment failures and breakdowns to minimize downtime. Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and restore functionality to manufacturing equipment in a timely manner
- Proactive Maintenance: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and performance. Implement proactive maintenance initiatives, such as equipment modifications, upgrades, and process optimizations, to enhance productivity and minimize maintenance costs.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions. Collaborate with production teams to address equipment-related challenges effectively.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and service history. Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for efficient documentation and tracking.
- Responsibilities include training employees addressing complaints and resolving problems. Instruct, direct and assist employees in completing their functions.
- Maintain discipline and personnel relations.
- Support on Recommended budget to management.
- Support on Specify and purchase new equipment related to the tool room operations.
- Spare Parts Management: Support on Managing inventory of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance activities. Coordinate procurement and replenishment to ensure availability when needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment. Identify and address safety hazards associated with machinery and equipment.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement in equipment operation and maintenance practices. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance productivity.
- Equipment Maintenance: Train production staff on basic equipment maintenance tasks. This includes routine checks, cleaning, and lubrication to ensure smooth operation.
Skills and experience to thrive in this role:
- Minimum of High school diploma; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (associate’s degree is preferred)
- Mechanical or electrical background
- Database reporting and management.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.
- Competitive hourly rate: $28.00/hr - 36.00/hr (commensurate with experience)
