Are you passionate about driving innovation from concept to prototype? HARTING Technology Group is seeking a dynamic Innovation Engineer to join our Innovation Hub in Göteborg. You’ll play a key role in initiating and executing early-phase innovation projects, collaborating across disciplines, and shaping the future of technology in the automotive sector.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, develop, and drive innovation projects from business case to prototype (TRL 5-6)
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including universities and research institutes
  • Communicate ideas effectively through images, texts, and logical flows
  • Transition projects to product development for industrialization and market launch
  • Work transparently and inclusively, sharing information and engaging teams

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MSc/PhD/BSc and/or relevant experience in mechanical, electrical, industrial economics, or similar
  • Proven experience in product development and early-phase innovation
  • Project management experience (sub-projects in large companies acceptable)
  • Automotive sector experience essential
  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken) in Swedish and English. German language is a plus
  • Willingness to travel (Sweden and Europe)
  • Experience in international environments and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Experience with innovation methodologies (Lean Start-up, design thinking, SCAMPER)
  • Familiarity with CAD, 3D-printing, simulations/analysis is a plus
  • Solutions-oriented and able to look for opportunities and ways forward
