Tooling Engineer

Functional objectives

  • Development of plastic injection & aluminum die-casting die/mold/tool for new and relocation projects
  • Ensure all mold & tool are in a good condition and ready for serial production
  • Optimizing existing process and parameter setting to maintain a stable production

Is responsible for                                         

  • Maintaining & improving existing mold/tooling in serial products
  • Solve daily issues related to injection/casting process
  • Planning for necessary assembly fixtures/tooling for new projects
  • Work with tooling supplier and approve the specified equipment functionality and quality
  • Making and verifying ISIR for new and relocation projects with R&D and Quality team
  • Setup and maintain work flow of connectors in SAP, e.g. master data, work plan, bill of material, production tools and routing etc in SAP.  
  • Push lean manufacturing, improve the line balance, optimize material flow and production process according to HARlis principle, increase production output and make cost down.
  • Other duties assigned by the Supervisor and Manager

Education and professional knowledge

  • University degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the relevant industry, prefer in plastic injection/aluminum die-casting company
  • Experienced in developing, improving injection/casting mold/tool
  • Experienced in design software e.g.: CAD/UG NX/ PROE, …
  • Familiar with the production processes for plastic injection/Aluminum die-casting products
  • Experienced in at PFMEA, Poka Yoke, One-piece Flow, cycle time measurement, ECR
  • Good Digital skills and knowledge of MS Office, preferably with experience in SAP.
  • Good English written skill and capable of oral communication in English.
