We are seeking a Production Planner to join our growing Supply Chain department. This role focuses supports the department by preparing, maintaining, and updating production schedules; overseeing intercompany order management and maintaining stock requirements/exception messages. Working closely with the HARTING Global team(s), Customer Service, Supply Chain and Production team to meet and exceed customer demands, while focusing on Inventory Control.

HARTING aims to be a trusted advisor to HARTING customers and positions itself as the go-to source expert for industrial connectivity solutions. We partner directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Distribution partners for standard product, designed-in value-added products, and Product Development initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:

  • Execute day-to-day production planning, scheduling activities, internal supplier material(s) needs and prepares weekly production schedules, focusing on utilizing full production capacity to maximize customer shipments
  • Working with leading plants, aid in directing production plan to ensure SAP planned and Confirmed production orders are in-line with customer demand.
  • Identify backlogs and scheduling priorities and adjusts delivery quantities, generate delivery notes, while organizing express shipments as necessary.
  • Support needs of the weekly communication between leading plants and customer success, supply chain, and sales to meet shipping dates according to customer orders. Maintains schedules to ensure efficient and cost-effective production while meeting OTIF (On-Time-In-Full).
  • Process and follow up on customer orders for confirmation, backlog and necessary schedule adjustments.
  • Run and/or generate reports to create production orders, reschedule or cancel. Manage exception messages, ZREQs as required to maintain inventory control/production schedule.
  • Execution of SAP workflow management for intercompany orders with the required master data such as lead times, quantities and price, as well as their regular updating.
  • Process quality claims and customer return shipment(s) as needed, and handling of needed credit/debit notes
  • Communicate with Materials Manager/Supervisor to determine status of assigned project(s) and additional tasks as required by the business.
  • Attend, participate, and complete tasks with HARTING Global team meetings and standards.
  • Work to achieve or exceed the business KPIs assigned
  • Support in region production planning as required.
  • Creation and distribution of KPI/ Supply Chain reports or other as needed.

Skills and experience to thrive in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or comparable specialized training. Note: Extensive relevant experience and proven expertise may substitute for the required degree
  • Experience with ERP systems – preferably SAP
  • Experienced with Microsoft office suite, including Excel
  • Experience of Power BI or other reporting software a plus

HARTING USA offers an attractive total compensation package and employee benefits, including:

Compensation:

  • HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.
  • Competitive base salary: $70,000-$80,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location).
  • This role is eligible for a 5% discretionary annual bonus.
