We are seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist (Hybrid; based in Elgin, Illinois) to join our growing team. The Marketing Automation Specialist will work within the Marketing team to drive growth in the HARTING Americas business. The Specialist will be focused on building and optimizing CRM-driven journeys across email and additional marketing automation tools. They will design multi-channel campaigns that deliver personalized, data-driven messages to create, capture, and nurture demand that generates sales accepted leads and qualified pipeline, collaborating with internal teams to integrate lifecycle strategies throughout the customer journey.
With our ever-evolving industrial connectivity solutions and B2B customers in OEM and Distribution, our marketing function continues to evolve, and the Specialist will possess an innovative and forward-thinking mindset as we mature our digital marketing and marketing automation capabilities. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with marketers across the globe, while aligning closely with commercial teams in the Americas region.
To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:
- Assist with strategizing, planning, and building automated, data-driven, triggered journeys to nurture lead prospects via MS Dynamics Marketing.
- Help the planning and execution of multi-channel Account Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns for targeted market segments and contacts.
- Develop strategies for ongoing communication with past and current customers via new and existing digital channels (email newsletters, social media newsletters, SMS, etc.)
- Work with field, product, and distribution marketers to support in-person events, business initiatives, and product launches through strategic digital channels.
- Build and maintain contact segments, campaigns, journeys, and other CRM data relevant for ongoing marketing programs.
- Collaborate with segment managers, product managers, and marketing teams to write, design, and build engaging emails, landing pages, and articles to support these journeys.
- Use external tools like ZoomInfo to build targeted lead contact lists for cold outbound campaigns.
- Conduct A/B testing and analysis, including subject line testing and creative layouts, to develop best practices for ongoing optimization of communication journeys for maximum engagement and conversion.
- Compile performance reporting; curate trends and insights and present to marketing leadership team for tactics optimization.
- Assist with marketing project management coordination: create deadlines and deliverable guidelines, define project intake and requirements, facilitate review processes, and other operations considerations.
- Help build business cases for platform functionality enhancements and adoption of additional tools to improve internal workflows and marketing program effectiveness.
- Represent the Americas region in collaboration with HARTING Global’s marketing, editorial, and CRM cross-functional teams to scale local insights into enterprise-wide best practices
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and experience to thrive in this role:

- 2-5 years experience in digital marketing and marketing automation, preferably in a B2B company
- Extensive experience building and planning marketing automation journeys, emails, and segments within Dynamics365 Marketing, Pardot, Marketo, Hubspot, Eloqua, or similar tools
- Strong background and skills in writing marketing copy, messaging, and positioning
- Working knowledge of modern B2B marketing tools such as:
- Paid Social Targeting (LinkedIn, Facebook, Meta, or similar)
- Prospect Sourcing (ZoomInfo, D&B, or similar)
- ABM Campaigns (Demandbase, 6Sense, or similar)
- Experience with enterprise CRM tools such as: Microsoft Dynamics365, Salesforce, or similar
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva is a plus
- Position requires occasional travel; travel could include international and domestic
- Self-motivated, takes the initiative, but knows when to ask questions
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Education
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Marketing or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (degree preferred)

HARTING USA offers an attractive total compensation package and employee benefits, including:
Compensation:
- HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.
- Competitive base salary: $70,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location).
- This role is eligible for a 5% discretionary annual bonus.
