We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our growing Operations department. This person will be responsible for Preventative, Proactive and Predictive Maintenance to Optimize performance, minimize costs and prevent future maintenance issues.
HARTING aims to be a trusted advisor to HARTING customers and positions itself as the go-to source expert for industrial connectivity solutions. We partner directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Distribution partners for standard product, designed-in value-added products, and Product Development initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the reliability and longevity of manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct regular review and inspection of manufacturer guidelines to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance
- Proactive Maintenance: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and performance. Implement proactive maintenance initiatives, such as equipment modifications, upgrades, and process optimizations, to enhance productivity and minimize maintenance costs.
- Predictive Maintenance: Utilize predictive maintenance techniques, such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis, to identify potential equipment failures before they occur. Implement predictive maintenance programs to schedule maintenance activities based on equipment condition monitoring data
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and service history. Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for efficient documentation and tracking.
- Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; Instruct, direct and assist employees in completing their functions.
- Support on Producing reports in accordance to KPI dashboards.
- Support on purchasing costs and MRO inventory level to ensure equipment availability while holding down costs.
- Support on Recommended budget for repairs and maintenance to management.
- Support on purchasing new equipment related to the tool room operations.
- Spare Parts Management: Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance activities. Coordinate procurement and replenishment to ensure availability when needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment. Identify and address safety hazards associated with machinery and equipment.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement in equipment operation and maintenance practices. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance productivity.
Skills and experience to thrive in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience of cross functional collaboration with teams and departments across the organization
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standard
- Database reporting and management.
- Working knowledge of MS office products.

HARTING USA offers an attractive total compensation package and employee benefits, including:
Compensation:
- HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.
- Competitive base salary: $60,000 - $75,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location).
- This role is eligible for a 5% discretionary annual bonus.
