As a Global Intranet Lead (Hybrid; based in Elgin, Illinois) you’ll be responsible for the strategic rollout, ongoing maintenance, and continuous development of the Global Corporate Intranet. The role combines operational day-to-day communication management with project-driven platform development. This includes shaping intranet structures, refining content, and improving the overall user experience.
A core part of the role is ensuring that all intranet content remains up-to-date, accurate, and relevant for global, regional, and local target groups across the organisation. The role holder enables, guides and supports colleagues worldwide in building and managing their own content independently, while maintaining consistent quality standards throughout.
All of this is carried out with a clear objective: to position the intranet as a trusted, high-quality internal information platform that reflects and supports the company's overall strategy.
HARTING aims to be a trusted advisor to HARTING customers and positions itself as the go-to source expert for industrial connectivity solutions. We partner directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Distribution partners for standard product, designed-in value-added products, and Product Development initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:

Intranet Management & Development
- Manages the further rollout, maintenance, and strategic development of the Global Corporate Intranet
- Drafts and optimizes information architectures, page structures, and navigation concepts
- Continuously improves UI/UX to enhance usability and employee experience
- Implements and manages a defined set of measures within the intranet toolset to ensure content quality and strategic alignment
Content Creation & Editorial
- Researches, develops, and creates high-quality corporate content in defined topic areas
- Ensures all content is consistent, on-brand, and aligned with company strategy
- Drives content ideation and editorial planning for the intranet platform
Stakeholder Collaboration & Support
- Acts as a direct liaison partner for international colleagues
- Guides and supports them in building, publishing, and maintaining their intranet content
Digital Tools & Analytics
- Uses a variety of SharePoint-related tools to improve internal digital visibility, employee trust, and corporate image
- Monitors and analyses intranet performance through controlling and analytics measures
- Derives actionable insights to continuously optimize content and platform performance
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel up to 10%.
Must have skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Digital Media, Business, or a comparable relevant field
- 3–5 years of professional experience in internal communications, digital communications, content management, or a related field
- Advanced experience in Microsoft SharePoint
- Avanced experience in Content Ideation (in English)
- Analytical Skills
- Basic Skills in UI/UX Preferred

HARTING USA offers an attractive total compensation package and employee benefits, including:
Compensation:
- HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.
- Competitive base salary: $80,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location)
- This role is eligible for a 10% discretionary annual bonus.
