For our US site in Elgin, Illinois, near Chicago, we are looking for an experienced specialist to play a key role in building up our new high-performance turning operation, training local employees, and bringing technological expertise into the organization.

If you enjoy setting up processes, sharing knowledge, and working with modern CNC-controlled turning machines (Winema, Star), this role is made for you.

Your Responsibilities

• Set-up and continuous development of a new high-performance turning operation at the Elgin (IL) site
• Set up, operate, and optimize modern CNC turning machines, particularly Winema rotary transfer machines and Star Swiss-type lathes
• Train and coach local employees in the safe and efficient operation of machines
• Ensure stable processes, high equipment availability, and consistent quality
• Perform and coordinate maintenance and servicing activities
• Drive process optimization in close collaboration with German and US teams
• Ensure compliance with quality standards (dimensional accuracy, process stability, surface quality)

Your Profile

• Completed technical training, e.g. CNC machinist / turning specialist, or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in setting up CNC turning machines
• In-depth knowledge of Winema and/or Star machines
• Ability to structure and transfer knowledge effectively (training/coaching skills)
• High quality awareness and an independent, responsible working style
• Good command of the English language
• Willingness to work abroad for a period of 12–24 months
