We are seeking a PLM Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Siemens NX, and Teamcenter to support global product development activities. The role involves 3D/2D modeling, Sheet Metals, drawing, plastic and casting component design, engineering change management, product data maintenance, and collaboration with global engineering teams for connector and cable assembly products.
Work Experience Required: At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in PLM & 3D & 2D modelling in NX. Preferred: Expert knowledge in PLM with tool experience, Siemens NX. Essential Functions
• Hands on working knowledge of Siemens NX 3D CAD software & Team Centre
• He/she shall have the strong basics of mechanical engineering with knowledge plastic, casting & IP sealing component design.
• Hands-on experience converting inputs from the global team into working concepts.
• Hands on experience in handling Product Lifecycle Management.
• Must have working knowledge on Change Request.
• Must have experience in working with Global teams and communicating with them technically.
• Good knowledge on GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, dimensions, and structural analysis
• Knowledge on the Engineering Change Notification process for design changes.
• Closely work with Global Design team in supporting for executing Change requests and any Support on 3D & 2D modelling in NX.
• Impeccable attention to design detail.
• Having experience in connector design will be added advantage.
• Ensure design of components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards
• Attend Daily meetings and deliver the assignments given by the Managers as required.
• Attend weekly team meetings to provide progress reports, obtain updates on colleagues’ progress, strategize on steps for following week and acquire information about projected emerging product lines.
• Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change
• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
• Able to work in a team environment with ability to work on your own, Self-motivated attitude
• Meet the organization goals and targets and achieve by executing the plans meticulously.
• Support the Team Members in case of problems.
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in PLM, Siemens NX, and Teamcenter.
- Good understanding of engineering change management processes.
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with global teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in connector, cable assembly, or wiring harness design.
- Knowledge of IP sealing concepts and product development processes.
