Job Description
As a Advanced Sourcing Engineer, assists with various Strategic Procurement activities, including supplier
identification, management, expediting, data management and administrative tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop vendors for Aluminium, Zinc Die castings, Injection molding (Plastic & Rubber), Sheet metal fabrication, Machining & C-Class parts based on technical, quality, and commercial criteria.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to understand technical requirements and ensure supplier capabilities align with project needs.
Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management processes.
Generate RFQ/RFP for mechanical components related to NPD projects.
Submit quotation to Project purchase team within stipulated time frame.
Co-ordinate vendor & Product development team for technical clarification.
Act as an interface for new product development projects. Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, and supplier development.
Manage supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and compliance to company standards.
Support new product introduction (NPI) & LCM products by coordinating supplier readiness and ramp-up activities.
Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality concerns, delivery delays, and capacity constraints for all NPD projects.
Evaluate supplier (technical/commercial) and support in supplier audit/assessments.
Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO, IATF, etc.).
Stay updated on market trends, new technologies, and best practices in sourcing and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Basic Skills:
Strong technical understanding of mechanical/electrical components and manufacturingprocesses.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to travel as required for supplier visits and audits.
Functional specific Skills
Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supplier development, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Proficiency in MS Office and SAP S/4 HANA.
