Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead and execute VAVE initiatives for existing and new products or processes.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities through design modifications, material substitution, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Design, Production, Quality, and Procurement teams for implementation of improvements.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis and feasibility studies for proposed changes.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend design/process improvements.
• Support should-cost analysis and benchmarking activities.
• Prepare and present VAVE proposals, reports, and savings data to management.
• Contribute to assembly line setup, including design and development of assembly line equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
Primary Skills:
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience in manufacturing processes including machining, casting, plastics, rubber, and sheet metal.
• Knowledge of assembly processes such as pressing, electrical testing, welding, tightening, and laser marking.
• Hands-on experience in assembly line design and setup.
Secondary Skills:
• Familiarity with DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly).
• Experience in supplier negotiation and cost analysis.
• Exposure to connector design (added advantage).
• Knowledge of New Product Development (NPD/NPI) processes for electro-mechanical products.
