Job Description
Head of Portfolio Management
Position type:
Full-time
Type of contract:
Permanent
Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities
- Development and continuous improvement of the performance and portfolio governance framework for the Hub's digital and data initiatives.
- Accountability for end-to-end Business Case & Value Realization — ensuring that promised benefits (adoption, savings, quality) are tracked, measured, and delivered.
- Accountability for Project & Delivery Performance — ensuring that all projects are delivered within budget, scope, and timeline.
- Ownership of the digital product portfolio structure — creating global visibility across domains, products, maturity levels, and strategic alignment.
- Development and consolidation of the integrated digital product roadmap, including alignment with IT capacity and development capabilities.
- Prioritization of the AI use case pipeline based on business value, feasibility, and strategic fit.
- Design, implementation, and governance of the Hub-wide KPI framework for projects and digital products.
- Team building — defining the target structure, recruiting, onboarding, and developing team members for Phase 2 growth.
Operational Responsibilities
- Operation of the Approval Gate for digitalization requests and projects — preparing decision recommendations for the Head of Hub.
- Continuous tracking of project progress across all Hub streams (Data, Digitalization & AI) regarding budget, scope, timeline, and quality.
- Budget controlling for all transformation projects — planned vs. actual comparison, burn rate, forecast, Capex/Opex transparency.
- Prioritization and management of the cross-stream backlog in collaboration with the Data Team (P2) and Digitalization & AI Team (P3).
- Planning and communication of tool and feature releases in coordination with the Digitalization & AI Team (P3) and the Implementation Team (P4).
- Analysis of digital product usage to define optimal user experience and derive improvement recommendations.
- Post-go-live benefit tracking — measuring adoption rates, realized savings, and qualitative impact against business case promises.
- Monitoring enablement progress of business units and tracking rollout milestone delivery by Digital Champions.
- Building and operating multi-level dashboards (Power BI): strategic (SteerCo/Hub Lead), tactical (program level), and operational (project level).
- Close alignment and collaboration with all Hub teams and interfaces: P1 is the only function with Responsible (R) or Accountable (A) assignments across all four governance pillars. The Head of P1 coordinates closely with the Data Team for project data and KPI inputs, with the Digitalization & AI Team for product performance and backlog, with the Implementation Team for release readiness and change status, and with Digital Champions for adoption data and domain milestones. P1 provides the consolidated performance view; the Head of Hub uses this as the basis for SteerCo reporting and strategic decisions.
