The role at a glance

As Vice President Human Resources, you report directly to the Board Member Human Resources & Legal and are responsible for the operational leadership and performance of the global HR organization across Germany, EMEA, Americas, and APAC.

This is a highly visible leadership role with a clear focus on operational excellence and internationalization. You ensure reliable, scalable HR operations worldwide, drive continuous improvement, and position HR as a strong Business Enabler for HARTING’s growth and transformation.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the operational leadership and performance of the global HR organization
  • Further developing and scaling the global HR Business Partner model to strengthen HR’s impact and proximity to the business
  • Ensuring standardized, efficient, and high-quality HR services and processes across all regions
  • Steering and further developing the regional HR structure with clear responsibilities, interfaces, and governance
  • Driving HR transformation initiatives, including AI usage and digitalization, process harmonization, and scalability in an international context
  • Leading and collaborating with global HR Centers of Excellence and ensuring effective collaboration with the regions
  • Advising top management on labor law, employee relations, and HR-related matters in an international environment
  • Planning, steering, and controlling HR budgets, resources, and priorities

 

Your profile

  • University degree in economics, law, social sciences, or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on HR
  • Several years of senior HR leadership experience in internationally active organizations, preferably in an industrial or technology-driven environment
  • Strong background in operational HR management, HR transformation, and international HR governance
  • Proven ability to manage complex HR organizations and lead change across regions
  • Solid knowledge of labor law, employee relations, and co-determination in an international context
  • Experience with HR digitalization and modern HR IT landscapes (e.g. SAP HCM)
  • Very good English skills; German language skills are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel internationally
